HubSpot UNBOUND 2026: what changed for HubSpot users
Agent Hub, new credit-based agents, a recorded meetings change and 2027 API deadlines: what HubSpot announced at UNBOUND 2026 and what to check now.
HubSpot's annual conference, renamed from INBOUND to UNBOUND this year, ran in Boston from 16 to 18 September 2026. The headline theme was AI agents working from shared CRM data, but the announcements that matter most day to day are more specific: Agent Hub is now live, several new agents carry per-action credit costs, recorded meetings now behave differently in the CRM, and developers face a firm schedule for retiring older APIs and apps.
Six weeks on, here is what was announced, what is actually available, and what HubSpot users should check at the time of writing (November 2026).
Agents and Agent Hub
Agent Hub, which launched in public beta in July, was presented as live at UNBOUND. It is the central place to see your agents, workflows, flagged items and an agent run inbox. Alongside it, HubSpot showed a set of new and rebuilt agents:
- Campaign Agent (public beta, Marketing Hub Professional and Enterprise) builds a campaign plan from a plain-language goal and suggests assets. According to MarTech's coverage, the agent itself is free, but if you approve automatic asset creation, the Content Agent costs 1,000 credits per asset.
- Nurture Agent (public beta) personalises automated nurture emails at send time, with options to choose data sources and lock parts such as the subject line. It costs 10 credits per email sent.
- Content Agent drafts blog posts, guides, social posts and web content from campaign notes.
- Deal Progression analyses emails, calls and meetings to suggest next steps, draft follow-ups and update CRM properties.
A HubSpot Community post dated 20 October says Content Agent, Nurture Agent and Deal Progression were released in the Autumn Spotlight on 1 October.
Sales and CRM updates
- Notetaker with Smart Deal Progression is live for Sales Hub and Service Hub Starter and above. It preps reps before meetings and suggests CRM updates, action items and follow-up emails afterwards. Default properties and transcripts are free, while custom properties cost 10 credits per property per transcript.
- Churn Risk, a new buyer intent signal, flags existing customers showing signs of cancellation from conversations, emails, calls and notes. Feeding it into customer health scoring needs Service Hub Professional or higher.
- A recorded meetings change took effect on 31 August 2026. Notetaker and video integration recordings now create only a meeting record, not a call record as well, with recordings and transcripts stored on the meeting.
If any workflow or report counts call records from recorded meetings, it may have quietly changed since 31 August.
Marketing updates
- Marketing Studio has been rebuilt around AI-driven insights and cross-campaign reporting on ROI, conversion and pipeline (public beta, Professional and Enterprise).
- Marketing contact cap is live for Marketing Hub Starter and above. You can set a maximum number of marketing contacts in Account & Billing, and HubSpot stops adding marketing contacts and alerts you when the cap is reached. This is a useful safeguard against unexpected tier jumps.
- Targeted Pages (private beta) generates unique landing pages with individual URLs for specified contacts and companies.
- Reddit ads integration (public beta) brings Reddit into the ads tool for performance tracking and workflow triggers. Ads are still created in Reddit.
New workspace and reporting tools
- HubSpot Work (public beta, Starter and above, uses credits) is an AI-first workspace that builds tables, forms, documents and project-scoped agents from descriptions.
- A unified report builder (private beta) combines the custom and single-object builders, and Breeze can build or edit reports without using credits.
- SharePoint and OneDrive integration (public beta, all tiers) links files and folders to CRM records.
Developer and platform changes
The developer announcements carry the firmest deadlines. HubSpot's Fall 2026 Spotlight changelog, published on 15 September, confirmed:
- Developer platform 2026.09 is generally available, with an 18-month support window. It adds user-level apps, where an app acts with the permissions of the person using it.
- Service Keys (public beta) are scoped API credentials intended to replace legacy private apps.
- The HubSpot MCP server now covers custom objects and more areas, including campaigns, marketing email and conversations (read-only). Apps can add an MCP server component to expose their tools to HubSpot agents.
- Retirements: v1 to v3 APIs, legacy public apps and legacy private apps become unsupported, with enforcement in September 2027. Support for v4 APIs ends on 30 March 2027.
HubSpot's partner recap adds that more than 7,900 agents are connected to HubSpot through its MCP server, and that four broad API scopes (HubDB, tickets, timeline and files) sunset in March 2027.
After the event: pricing controls
On 15 October, HubSpot followed up with changes to how AI usage is billed. As reported by trade press, these include default account-level credit caps of up to 50% above a customer's monthly credits, the ability to move budget between seats and credits mid-contract, and a choice between monthly credit packs and pay-as-you-go. HubSpot's own help documentation confirms the automatic 50% account spend limit and that pay-as-you-go is the default for credits bought on or after 16 September 2026.
