Theme design & build
(the challenge)
Beautiful themes are usually slow; fast themes usually look plain.
The goal was a Shopify 2.0 theme aiming for a perfect Lighthouse score while still offering predictive search, mega menus, rich media and a smooth cart drawer.
(the approach)
Load only what each page needs, exactly when it needs it.
Aveline is built from small Alpine.js and Web Component pieces that load on demand. Live search, 3D and video media and automatic colour swatches are built in, without the weight of a typical premium theme.
What was delivered
- Instant predictive search
- Large mega menus
- Slide-out cart
- 3D and video on product pages
- Automatic colour swatches
- Scripts that load only when needed
